The new moon of Shawwal has not been sighted in Saudi Arabia, therefore the Day of Eid al-Fitr is on Monday 2nd May 2022.  

We will be bidding farewell to the blessed month of Ramadan and opening our doors to Shawwal and beginning the celebrations of Eid Al Fitr.

Remember to make the most of the final moments of this blessed month and cherish the final day. 

The day of Eid is a time for celebration and enjoyment but there are many things we can do to make our Eid day even better. 

Some Sunnahs of Eid

Completing the Ghusl

Wearing your best clothes

Eating an odd number of dates

Doing Takbir

Praying the Eid prayer

Changing your route home from Eid prayer

Greeting your loved ones

The Sahabah also used to congratulate one another on the occasion of Eid by saying

‘Taqaballahu minna wa minkum’ – May Allah accept from you and us

May the spirit of Ramadan remain with us and may we continue the goodness of the blessed month throughout the year.
