The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs has introduced an Electronic Visa Waiver (EVW) for citizens of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, allowing them to enter the Kingdom without a visit visa. British nationals can now stay for up to six months on a single entry for business, tourism, study, or treatment purposes.

To obtain the waiver, UK citizens need to fill out an application on the Unified National Visa Platform at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The application can be submitted between 90 days and 48 hours before their travel date, and the visa approval will be sent via email within 24 hours of submission.

It is worth noting that the UK had previously launched a similar EVW facility for Saudi citizens on June 1, 2022. Saudi citizens visiting the UK are no longer required to obtain a visit visa in advance and are exempt from providing biometrics, attending a Visa Application Centre, or submitting passports for an EVW. However, visa requirements for work, study, and settlement in the UK remain unchanged.
