Indo-Chinese – Episode 4

Waz and Chef Nitesh are back for Season 2 of Let’s Eat Street and are ready to cook up a storm for you this Ramadan.

Indo-Chinese

Egg Fried Rice

1 kg cooked rice

20 gms chopped ginger

20 gms chopped garlic

20 gms chopped chilli

1 red pepper

1 green pepper

1 carrot

1 onion

200 gms cabbage

1 spring onion

Salt

Coarse Black Pepper

Oil

Light soya sauce

White vinegar

Directions:

  • Boil Rice with salt and strain the excess water. Heat a pan, add oil and slowly scramble 6 eggs. Season it with salt and keep aside.
  • In a wok heat oil, add ginger garlic chilli, sauté for a bit a add all the veg. Add rice and scrambled egg and toss everything together. Finish with light soya sauce, Vinegar and coarse pepper. Garnish with spring onions.

 

Hakka Noodles

1 kg boiled noodles

20 gms chopped ginger

20 gms chopped garlic

20 gms chopped chilli

1 red pepper

1 green pepper

1 carrot

1 onion

200 gms cabbage

1 spring onion

20 gms bean sprout (Optional)

Light Soya sauce

Chilli Sauce

Salt

Pepper

White Vinegar

Direction:

  • Boil Noodles with salt and strain the water out. In a wok heat oil, add ginger garlic chilli, sauté for a minute and then add all vegetables.
  • Add noodles, Salt, pepper, soya sauce, chilli sauce, Vinegar and toss them.
  • Finish with spring onions.

 

Kolkata Chilli Chicken

1 kg Chicken Cubes

1 Red Pepper

1 Green Pepper

1 red onion

30 ml Soya Sauce

1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste

1 tsp Ginger

1 tsp Garlic

1 tsp Chilli

2 Spring Onion

1 tsp Sugar

100 gms Corn Flour

100 gms Plain Flour

5 Red Chillies

Salt to taste

Directions:

  • Marinate the chicken with Salt, pepper, ginger garlic paste, soya sauce. Then add corn flour, plain flour and water and bind it to the chicken.
  • Deep fry the chicken and keep them aside.
  • In a wok, heat oil, add ginger garlic chilli red pepper, green pepper, red onion and let it cook for 2 minutes. Now add soya sauce and water and bring it to boil. Once it starts boiling add salt, pepper, sugar and ketchup.
  • Add a bit of water to cornflour and pour it to the gravy. Now add the chicken and toss well.
  • Finish it with red chillies, Garnish it with spring onion
